RUBES CREEK TRAIL

UNDER CONSTRUCTION – EXPECTED OPEN 2016
The Rubes Creek Trail will be located off Arnold Mill Road near Fire Station 14 and will head south for approximately 3/4 of a mile. It will be a ten-foot-wide multi-use trail that will eventually be part of the Downtown Loop.
This segment is currently under construction with completion expected in 2016. The funding for this project is through a GDOT Transportation Enhancement Grant.
TOWNE LAKE PASS TRAIL
$3,000,000 FUNDED
EXPECTED OPEN 2017
This trail segment will connect Towne Lake to the Woofstock Dog Park traveling along Towne Lake Hills South from Towne Lake Parkway towards Woodstock High and Middle schools. The trail turns into the woods near the school complex and follows the Noonday Creek corridor under I-575 and to Woofstock Dog Park. The trail is expected to be roughly 1.2 miles long.
Construction is set to begin in 2016 with completion expected in 2017. The funding for this project is through the Cherokee County Parks Bond.
